Welcome to Jacobson Training And Consulting LLC (JTC). We offer training programs designed for the public, non-governmental organizations, and all companies. Our survival programs enhance situational awareness, real-time behavioral threat assessment, and non-firearm response to active attacks.​

 

JTC was founded on the principle of citizens teaching citizens. Civilians are the “First Line Intelligence” when it comes to community security. The public should not depend or wait on government agencies or law enforcement to educate us on threat recognition and civilian response to active attacks be it foreign or domestic. The first responding resources are stretched; recruiting, retention and resiliency have been eroded, citizens need to step in, and up, to support responders. Citizens have a responsibility to elevate our contribution to community security.​

 

High fidelity intelligence drives the effective deployment of resources.  Educating ourselves and training on threat recognition is paramount to staying in an anticipatory state regarding attack events. The anticipatory state in the protection domain is known as staying “left of bang.” Citizens should be able to provide investigating and first responding agencies with quality “First Line Intelligence,” and be able to identify potential pre-event threat indicators and behavior. Providing concise and well-articulated information to authorities will impart credibility to the source (you). With training and practice we can learn to identify pre-event indicators be it in a public setting, entertainment venues, retail spaces, educational facilities, recreational areas or in our daily travels. Amat Victoria Curan, with preparation we the public can prevail, because victory loves preparation. We must self-serve when it comes to our own and community security.

 

​Americans should enjoy their pursuit of happiness but not ignore the security challenges before us. Staying “left of bang” is hard but being at bang (the attack) or reacting to bang, known as “right of bang” is tragic and devastating.  Threat recognition is a skill that can be learned and passed on to others. Waiting for authorities to educate us “the public” on threat recognition and attack response is a paradigm of unaccountability.  There are nefarious actors among us; the public is the ’First Line of Intelligence” and we must embrace this role regarding community safety.​ Jacobson Training and Consulting LLC believes the citizenry should take it upon themselves to develop threat recognition and threat response skills.
